You'll find here my appreciation of various restaurants I went to. Most of them are in Canada, but but others are international.

= I would rather eat cat food than coming back to that restaurant. The service was horrible and the atmosphere was awkward. Stay away from it!

= I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for one or more of the following reasons: the service wasn't good, the food wasn't healthy*, the atmosphere wasn't great.
* Most fast-food restaurants will get this note, because of the low quality of the food they offer. It contains way too much fat, sugar and chemical ingredients.

= This restaurant is in the average. The menu isn't very unique, but the food is great. The service was good and the atmosphere was okay. Overall, a nice quality price ratio, but nothing spectacular.

= I would truly recommend this restaurant if you want to try something very unique! It has something that other restaurants don't have and that you will remember. The service is great and the atmosphere is awesome. The food is really good, but not super fancy. It is a little bit more expensive than average restaurants, but it's worth it!

= Going to this restaurant is an experience of a lifetime! The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is amazing and the decor is fabulous! There is a big variety of food that is healthy and tasty too. Even if it is very expensive, it's definitely worth it!


Applebee's

Location: United States

Comment: I ate there a couple of times somewhere in Vermont I think... I must admit that the thing that I remember the most is how huge and sugar-less was the iced tea. Five little packs of sugar later, I realized that for once, United States made a healthy choice and not Canada... That's quite scary. My little Canadian stomach was speechless in front of that big mac'n cheese plate that was supposed to be for ten years old children. However, it was good, even if it wasn't super healthy. The atmosphere was fun and the decor too. Add one star to my review if you're a fan of typical American food.

Boston Pizza

Location: Canada

Comment: The food is great there, but you can get tired of your meal quickly, because there's no salad or fries with your plate. I took pastas the first time and lasagna the second time. I burned my tongue twice... The meals were way too hot! However, it tasted very good! You should come early in the evening, because it can get quite noisy if you arrive too late. If you loved your meal, but didn't finish it, don't worry! They can put it in a box and you can bring it home.

Hard Rock Cafe

Location: International

Comment: There's nothing really special about the food there. You must wonder why I put a high rating, then. Well, what's unique about that restaurant is that there are tons of autographed items from rockstars! The walls are covered with guitars, discs, speakers, photographies, outfits... Oh and not from amateurs. No. Big names. Examples? The Beatles, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Madonna, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, The Who... As I said before, the food is not very special, but the atmosphere is so unique! Listening and watching rock videoclips while eating is certainly one experience that you'll remember! Plus, there's a shop where you can buy nice T-shirts and other souvenirs.

La Cage aux Sports

Location: Quebec and Ontario, Canada

Comment: The atmosphere in that restaurant is really cool when there's a hockey match! You can watch the game on the televisions and eat at the same time. Plus, you can have free popcorn before your meal arrives. Some people even come with their favorite team's shirt! Also, the food is varied and the service is good. If you're a fan of sports and you want to have fun with your friends and family, you're at the right place!

McDonald's

Location: International

Comment: If you're a fan of junk food, fat, calories and salt, good for you, but I'm not. Finding something that is healthy is a big challenge. Plus, they seem to remove the healthy items from their menu and I'm talking from a personal experience here. Why not take care of your health and avoid going there? However, the deli sandwiches and the salads could be an option... The price is okay and the service is good, so I'm not going to put the worst note.

St-Hubert

Location: Quebec, Canada

Comment: That's one typical restaurant in Quebec! Come early or the waiting time could be very long, because it's super popular here! The atmosphere is warm, pleasant and there are both young and old people. They offer cole slaw at the beginning of the meal and people usually choose chicken as their principal meal, because it's their specialty. It comes with fries, salad, potatoes or rice, you decide! There's also half an hamburger bread and sauce. They also have a wide choice of delicious deserts. I really love that restaurant for their big menu. I also recommend you the chicken brochette with a sweet sauce that comes with a smaller brochette of fruits/vegetables and a salad.

Swiss Chalet

Location: Canada and United States

Comment: Swiss Chalet is similar to St-Hubert, but in my opinion, their food is less flavorful. It's a bit tasteless, but it's still good. The service is good and the price range is okay. Since I went to a Swiss Chalet that was located after an exit near a lost highway, I need to say that the atmosphere wasn't very warm. I went to another Swiss Chalet as a child and I have good memories, so I won't base my opinion only on the lost restaurant.

Tour de Ville

Location: Montreal, Canada

Comment: I went there two years in a row for the holidays and it was absolutely perfect! My sister and I are allergic to eggs and normally, it's hard to know what we can eat in a buffet. However, in that restaurant, the chef came with us and told us plate by plate what we could eat or not. Awesome service! Also, there is an enormous variety of healthy and delicious food. The decor is very nice too, because there are some colorful paintings on the walls with special decorations. I must admit that the most special part is the view... Because a part of the restaurant is turning, we can enjoy a panoramic view on Montreal! It is really expensive, but I highly recommend this place for a special occasion or for holidays!
